The SWDA Whistleblowing channels provide individuals with secure avenues to disclose, in confidence and without fear of reprisal, occurrences of possible wrongful practices within or related to SWDA and its partners, for appropriate investigations and actions.
Matters That May Be Reported
Wrongful practices include, but are not limited, to the following:

- Criminal offences (such as fraud, corruption or theft);
- Misappropriation of funds, grants or classified documents;
- Unauthorised disclosure of confidential or sensitive information to external parties;
- Breach of legal or regulatory obligations (including negligence, breach of contract and breach of legislation);
- Collusion for financial gain;
- Abuse or misrepresentation of power and authority;
- Discrimination such as on the basis of gender, race and disability;
- Harassment or intimidation;
- Gross negligence of duty, acts against public interest or conduct detrimental to the organisation’s interests or reputation; and
- Improper conduct or unethical behaviour.
Confidentiality and Protection for Whistleblowers
We encourage whistleblowers to provide their names and contact information, as these may be required for follow-up actions or clarifications. Concerns raised anonymously shall be considered at SWDA’s discretion, taking into consideration the seriousness and credibility of the concerns, as well as the extent these can be substantiated.
All disclosures should be made in good faith, without malice, and where the whistleblower has reasonable grounds to suspect that an incident of wrongful practice has occurred.
To the extent feasible and permissible under the law, SWDA will make every effort to protect the identity of the whistleblower and maintain the confidentiality of the information provided.
SWDA will not tolerate discrimination, retaliation, or harassment against any whistleblower.

Information to Facilitate Investigation
To enable SWDA to effectively investigate your concerns, the following information should be provided, where possible:
- Your name and contact information;
- Name(s) of person(s)/ company(ies)/ Training Provider(s)/ Private Education Institution(s) involved. Please provide the full name, place of employment, job title, company name and Unique Entity Number (UEN) if available;
- Your relationship with the reported person(s)/ company(ies)/ Training Provider(s)/ Private Education Institution(s);
- Description of the incident(s) (including date, time, location, details of course attended, methods and action or behaviour where applicable);
- Period of time the impropriety has been perpetrated;
- If any other SWDA staff had been informed, please provide the notification date and contact information of the person notified; and
- Physical or material evidence, and any other information which may substantiate the incident(s) and support follow-up actions.
What to Expect after a Report is Made
SWDA will acknowledge receipt of your report, however, we may not be able to provide update on the status or outcome of the case.
