The Volunteer Career Advisors (VCA) initiative is a community-driven effort that brings together experienced industry professionals to make a meaningful difference by guiding individuals to navigate their career journeys with confidence. By joining us as a VCA, you will draw on your industry experience to help individuals build career resilience and take their next step forward.
Led by Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), VCAs will have the opportunity to:
- Make a meaningful impact: Share your career journey, experiences, and industry insights to support fellow Singaporeans and Permanent Residents[TW1.1] in their career development.
- Build valuable connections: Connect with like-minded VCAs who are passionate about mentoring, volunteering, and giving back to the community.
- Contribute beyond advising: Participate in career talks, panel discussions, events, or webinars as a speaker or facilitator.
- Access learning and networking opportunities: Join training sessions, community gatherings, and networking events designed to support your growth as an advisor and industry professional.
- Grow personally and professionally: Gain fresh perspectives on your own career journey while developing your communication, coaching, and leadership skills through meaningful conversations with your advisees.
Who Can Apply?
- Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR)
- Experienced professionals with at least 10 years of work experience
- Passionate about giving back through providing career and skills advice, sharing industry knowledge, and supporting individual's growth
