Driving Purposeful Career Development

This seminar provides a structured approach to career planning and progression. Participants will be coached to conduct a skills inventory, explore career pathways, and align development resources to their goals. During the session, participants will also learn to draft a Personal Development Plan and prepare a Career Evidence Portfolio, to chart their growth and desired measurable outcomes.

When?

By the end of the session, learners will be able to

1) Conduct a skills inventory using the SkillsFuture Skills Framework and identify at least 2 skill gaps relative to their target career direction
2) Articulate a working career direction and distinguish between vertical, lateral and deepening pathways
3) Match at 1-3 development resources (e.g. SkillsFuture Credit, SWDA Career Coaching, NLB LinkedIn Learning) to their specific development goals
4) Construct a draft Personal Development Plan with at least 3 SMART goals, mapped using the 70-20-10 learning model, with a quarterly review date
5) Develop a Career Evidence Portfolio by drafting one achievement entry in STAR format
