    Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) offer mid-career switchers a structured, supported pathway into new roles through on-the-job training. The skills you have built as a driver has equipped you with transferable skills that are valued across many industries. CCPs can help you build on these strengths, with opportunities across around 30 sectors such as Land Transport, Logistics and Tourism, and discover a role with good longer-term prospects.

    SWDA, in collaboration with industry partners, MOT and the Land Transport Authority (LTA), have rolled out CCP for AV Specialists to equip drivers with industry-relevant technical and operational skills for roles in the AV sector, such as safety operators, remote operators and fleet management positions. Additionally, drivers interested in pursuing careers in the public transport sector can explore the CCP for Public Transport Professionals, which includes a new, customised pathway for drivers to become Bus Captains.     The Mid-Career Pathways Programme (MCPP) offers a four-to-six-month full-time attachment with an approved host organisation, giving you hands-on experience in a new industry while building relevant skills. You will receive allowance during the attachment, and if your performance is satisfactory, you may even be offered a full-time role — making this a great way to explore a new career.

    Ti Scheme


    Move forward with confidence with training incentives designed specially for drivers like you. Whether you are just starting to explore your options or already have a career goal in mind, this scheme aims to ease the financial burden as you take that next step.


    From January 2027, eligible drivers can choose from around 2,000 SWDA-supported courses to kickstart their training journey. Drivers will receive a training incentive of $20 per hour, with a lifetime cap of 80 hours, amounting to up to $1,600 per driver. With the incentive helping to ease your rental fees and offset income foregone during training, you can focus on building new skills and taking that next step in your career.
